December 2002, Clayhidon Parish Council minutes

Clayhidon Parish Council

A special meeting of the above was held on Monday 3rd December 2002 at the Church Room at 8 PM

Agenda:- Planning Applications, Lower Grays & Ringdown House

Mr ME Bendle – chairman, Mr M Hudson, Mr RJ Pike, Mr AF Redwood, Mr G Langford & Mr MC Osmond – clerk.

Miss J Ward & Mr R Kallaway unable to attend.

The chairman thanked members for attending and also noted that the Parish Council Accounts had been passed by auditor, and that Mr D Hortop had agreed to type up minutes of meetings as agreed.

Chairman reviewed the applications stating from drawings the storage rooms would make double the size of dwelling with no internal access to them.  Granny annex more suitable in size.  Noted no garage facilities applied for.  Concern was raised by members over the total area of building now.  No objections raised to the granny annex on its own.  Better if the storage rooms were smaller.

Application for a porch to house and stable block with riding arena.  The porch application was discussed with no objection raised.  In regard to the stable block and riding area this was well away from the house with no feed store or tack room applied for.  Stable block - square in design, stone face to block cavity walls.  This raised concern, design thought excessive for horses almost residential in specification.  Items to state in reply:-detached construction from house in A O. N. B., the size proposed, the building details, no feed store/tack room, use if became redundant possible conversion.  No objections to riding arena.  After thanking members present for attending, the meeting was closed.
