5.                Clerk Update

5.1              TAP Fund 2015/2016 – Following a meeting with South Western Ambulance Trust the council has been able to negotiate a 4-year deal for multiple defibrillators with Culmstock & Hemyock.  The clerk has submitted a bid to the British Heart Foundation for a defibrillator and news is awaited on the outcome of this application.  Once known, a number of defibrillators will be hired from the Ambulance Trust.  Many thanks go to The Half Moon which raised £147.00 for the parish defibrillator fund at its recent mini festival on 1-3 July.  The Violet Chapman Trust is also thanked for its generous award of funds.  It is hoped that the parish will obtain 2 defibrillators, located at the Half Moon and possibly Rosemary Lane Chapel.  Clerk to ask permission from Rosemary Lane Chapel.

5.2               TAP Fund 2016/2017 – a meeting was held with Hemyock & Culmstock to discuss ideas for this year’s applications.  Suggestions from Hemyock & Culmstock included:-a Vehicle Activated Sign to be shared amongst the three parishes to slow cars; a colourful village noticeboard giving tourist/historical and general information.  The choice of a location for such a sign in Clayhidon might be problematic.  It was suggested that instead Clayhidon could have name signs for the parish-owned land at Clayhidon Woods, Greys Quarry, Wiltown Green and the Turbary.  Clerk to report back to Hemyock Parish Council.
