held in the Parish Hall at 1.30pm on 14th March 2016

Mr R Kallaway (Chair), Mr M Bendle (from item 6), Mr R Drew, Mrs S Hay, Mr A Hill, Mr G Langford, Mrs A Weekes and Mrs D Evans (Parish Clerk), and 3 members of the public.

 

            2.               Declarations of Interest

Agenda item 3.1 – Mr R Drew and Mrs S Hay have pecuniary interests as they have a commercial relationship with the applicant.  They will comment in the same way as members of the public and will leave the room when the application is discussed and voted on.

 

            3.                Planning

The following application was considered:-

3.1              16/00302/FULL – Erection of a rural worker’s dwelling.  Land and Buildings at NGR 315838 114830 (Cornerways) Rosemary Lane.

       Comments made included:- there was no design & access statement and agricultural appraisal on the MDDC website; there is no mains sewer, it will be a septic tank; this is an existing viable business in the parish; there is no impact on the skyline with the development; it may be difficult to support the application as the applicants live approximately 100 metres away; there are security issues and a need to be on site.

PROPOSAL:  the council fully supports the application as it is a well-established growing agricultural business in the parish and there is a need for housing on site.

4.2      Queen’s 90th Birthday – street party -

Nicola Bendle and Gareth Weekes had requested £200 financial support towards putting together an event similar to that for the Royal Wedding celebration event. 

PROPOSAL:  £200 donation is made to the Queen’s 90th birthday celebration committee. 

PROPOSED:   Mr G Langford

SECONDED:  Mrs A Weekes

DECISION: passed.  All agreed.  Mrs Bendle was asked to promote the event at the Annual Parish Meeting on 18th April.

 

5.                Items raised by Chairman

Nothing to report.

 

6.                Items raised by Councillors

6.1              Mrs A Weekes reported that 18 people had kindly volunteered to clean-up the parish and had collected over 25 bags of rubbish.  The council thanked the volunteers.  Clerk to arrange collection of the rubbish from the Parish Hall.  There are a few areas not yet tackled by the volunteers and it is hoped these areas will be completed within the next few days.
